Two Tone Will James Saddle
– Custom Slick-Out Ranch Build ($2850)
This is a 16" Floral Cliff Wade built for riders who want a saddle that stands out without giving up function. Clean slick-out finish paired with full floral tooling—it’s sharp, traditional, and made to be used, not just looked at.
Built on a Wade tree with a 16” seat, it gives you a solid, centered ride with enough pocket to stay secure but still move when you need to. The Cliff Wade style keeps it balanced and practical, while the hand-tooled floral work adds that extra level of craftsmanship you don’t see on factory saddles.
Finished in a rich oil that’ll darken and wear in right over time. This is a saddle that’ll look better the more you use it.
Details that matter:
- 16” seat – comfortable, balanced fit
- Cliff Wade tree – proven ranch design
- Floral Spot tooling
- Slick-out seat & fenders – easy movement, no grab
- Solid rigging – built for real use
- Clean lines, no excess bulk
Fit comes first
I don’t build blind.
You get a trial tree first, set it on your horse, and we make sure it’s right before anything is finalized. That’s how you get a saddle that actually works.
Build Time
About 10 weeks once your spot is locked in.

Saddle Fit, Build & Return Policy (Please Read Carefully)
Every saddle is custom built to order, and proper fit—for both horse and rider—is taken seriously.
Saddle Tree Fit Option
Before construction begins, customers have the option to receive the saddle tree. This allows you to place the tree on your horse and confirm fit before the saddle is built, helping prevent fit-related issues later.
No Buybacks or Refunds
Because each saddle is custom-made, I do not buy saddles back and do not offer refunds once a saddle is completed. Custom saddles cannot be easily resold, and for that reason, returns for refund are not accepted.
Rebuild Policy
If a saddle requires adjustment or rebuilding, I will rebuild the saddle only after the original saddle is returned to my shop. No rebuild or replacement work begins until the original saddle is received.
Use-Based Return Requests
In the past, I have experienced situations where a custom saddle was ordered for a specific event, trail ride, photo session, or short-term use, and then returned afterward with the expectation of a refund.
For clarity and fairness to all customers, custom saddles are not accepted back after use, regardless of mileage, appearance, or condition. Once a saddle has been built and used, it is considered the customer’s saddle.
Why This Policy Exists
-
Each saddle is built specifically for one horse and one rider
-
Custom saddles cannot be easily resold, especially branded or names tooled onto the leather.
-
The tree-fit option is provided upfront to prevent fit issues
-
Used saddles cannot be returned after special events or short-term use
-
Rebuilds ensure fit corrections are handled properly and professionally, except of course trying it out reasonably.
